Since 1993 Bronfenbrenner has provided a range of management and consulting services to San Francisco Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet Endowment Foundation. He served as Chief Financial Officer from 1993 to 2000, guiding the organization through eight years of surplus results. During this time he improved financial systems, developed strategic plans, built a strong and cost-effective staff team, enhanced information technology resources, and guided investment strategies. He played a central role in guiding the Ballet through the challenges posed by renovations of the Company’s primary performance venue – San Francisco War Memorial Opera House – and served as CFO of the joint efforts of the Ballet and San Francisco Opera during this period. As a consultant, Bronfenbrenner has led an effective strategic planning process and conducted a critical study of alternative strategies for performance scheduling.
